This blog will be a place where people who photograph gravestones and genealogists can post helpful articles and information for other like-minded people.

Ann Unknown: After “Ann” there is an “x” for a period and the number “31” that could stand for 31 days or 31 years, the rest is illegible.

The article, “How to Get Great Photos for FindAGrave,” is currently being updated and rewritten to help gravers with tips and information. The new and improved version will have many new items to help gravers work effectively, be safe and produce great . The new version will have more photographs as examples.

Food For Worms will be a place where other gravers and genealogists can post article for the general public as well each other. Articles submitted will be edited for errors and clarity to author’s satisfaction prior to posting. Authors may include a brief bio to be added to the About page. To submit an article send a message via the Contact Form at the bottom of the page and I will give you my e-mail address.

How else better to learn than by making every mistake possible? My husband took this photo to show the inscription.

In meeting many FindAGrave members, I am impressed on many levels; everyone has something to offer that will benefit others. Gravers and genealogists have stories and experiences that others will enjoy and may learn from. Everyone has a story they are itching to share– this is your platform!

I have seen many interesting, beautiful and unusual cemetery markers. If you have an interesting story to share or an odd experience let us know. If you have a story about a gravestone and would like to share it with pictures, contact me. You do not have to write perfectly, I can help you with writing.  Send a Contact Form message and let us hear from you.

Show off your stones to the entire cemetery-loving world!

There will be a place for helpful links to graving and genealogy resources. To submit a resource simply send it via the Contact Form below.

NOTE: Photos and written materials remain copyrighted to the author. By sending them here you will only be giving permission for the Food For Worms blog. They will not be posted anywhere else.
